Another tea gone cold is an email letter series by me, dangerlam. It is a medley of illustrations, comics, prose, and the occasional motley miscellanea. In it, I traverse the landscape of the inner world, which may include:
Our relationship to existence and agency
Sitting still in the poetic feeling-tone of ordinary things
The textures of sensation and perception
Inner-child whimsy & wisdom
Forgotten things
Or, none of the above! After all, Kim rhymes with whim.
Who am I?
I’m Kim Lam—an illustrator, writer and comics artist who often goes by the street name dangerlam. I’m an avid keeper of diaries and notebooks, where I like to collect thoughts (own〰other & collective) and capture whatever intriguing wisps of the world and noosphere happen to come my way. My background is in veterinary medicine and surgery, which I popped on pause a while back to pursue gnarlier pathways—in the arts. And it has been just as the dictionary says it is:
gnarly | ˈnɑːli | challenging, difficult, very good & excellent.
How often does another tea go cold?
Often, because I’m terrible. And the temperature gradient waits for no one.
Ideal-world pending, these email letters might occur at most every half-moon during peak seasons, or so sparsely that when the next one lands in your inbox it’ll be an unexpected surprise.
Tea of Coffee?
Tea.
